Dual Enrollment Courses for Portville & Scio

Students at Portville and Scio central schools can earn college credits by taking a St. Bonaventure University computer science course without leaving their respective schools.

A second computer course may be offered as well, if there is sufficient enrollment.Portville Scio students enjoy a Computer Science Lab.

The 4-credit course, CS/CSL 131. Computer Science I & Laboratory, is taught by Scio High School teacher Michael Pavlock, with training and materials provided by Dr. Steven Andrianoff, professor emeritus of computer science at St. Bonaventure.

Pavlock delivers the course in-person to Scio students and by distance-learning technology to students in Portville.

A second course, CS/CSL 132. Computer Science II & Lab, is available, if there is sufficient student interest. That course is taught by Dr. Andrianoff in person at Portville Central School, with students in Scio attending via an online delivery platform.
